ICHL to Increase Women Employees: The Indian Hotels Company Limited is an Indian hospitality company that manages a portfolio of hotels, resorts, jungle safaris, palaces, spas and in-flight catering services.

ICHL to Increase Women Employees:

This initiative is for all stakeholders, including guests, employees, partners and the community.  IHCL’s managing director and CEO Puneet Chhatwal said the company has been championing the cause of women and enhancing their participation, both within and outside the organization.

Puneet Chhatwal also said that, “IHCL will initiate a series of initiatives and enabling policies over the next five years to boost women’s involvement in the workforce to 25% from the present 18%.” IHCL currently have around 28000 employees.  He said IHCL has continued to support sari weavers in Varanasi and is also aiding women in the beer brewing business in Bangalore.

“We’ve made many initiatives both internally and with organizations such as the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), with whom we’ve reached an agreement to train employees. So, if I add all of those programmers, together with CII’s own internal work, it comes to one lakh people who will be skilled over the next five years, with 25,000 of them being women ” Puneet Chhatwal explained.
