Konkan Railway Recruitment: The Konkan Railway (abbreviated KR) is a railway operated by the Konkan Railway Corporation, with its headquarters at CBD Belapur in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The first passenger train ran on Konkan railway tracks on 20 March 1993, between Udupi and Mangalore. During its initial years of operation in the mountainous Konkan region, a number of accidents prompted Konkan Railway to implement new technology. Anti-collision devices, the Sky Bus and roll-on/roll-off are several of the railway’s innovations. The 756.25 km (469.91 mi) long railway line connects the states of Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka. The first train on the completed track was sent off on 26 January 1998.

Eligibility Criteria:
IRSE Officers working in PML-14 of the 7th CPC or Civil Engineering Executives working in other PSUs in IDA tier E8 are eligible for the position (Rs.1, 20,000-2, 80,000)
OR
Officers in the IRSE cadre of Indian Railways with four years’ experience working in PML-13 of the 7th CPC or Civil Engineering Executives with four years’ experience working in another PSU in IDA scale E6 (Rs.90,000-2,40,000).
Experience:
- Minimum working experience of 12 years of service in Group A in Indian Railways/other Govt. dept./ Executives in CPSUs. Officer having adequate knowledge in the field of structural design of Bridges/ Viaducts / flyovers for Railways /Road /Metro loading based on Indian (sound knowledge of IS, IRS, IRC and other relevant codes related to design) / International (EURO, BS & AASTHO) standards & basic philosophy.
- Candidate having sound experience in design of long span superstructure comprising of steel structures, composite structures, segmental bridges, U-girder, I-girder, balanced cantilever box girder cable stayed Bridges with pre-stressed concrete technology, or some similar experience. Candidates should have experience in use of various Structural Design software (like STAAD, MIDAS, LUSAS, SOFISTK etc.)
Salary Details:
The salary for the post is based on SAG in 7th CPC Pay Matrix -14 (in 6th CPC, PB-04, Rs.37400-67000 with Grade pay Rs. 10000/-) OR SG in 7th CPC Pay Matrix -13 (in 6th CPC, PB-04, Rs.37400-67000 with Grade pay Rs. 8700/-). The officer will draw pay which would have been admissible to him/her from time to time on the Railway plus deputation (duty) allowance.
Selection Process:
