SBI will provide all banking facilities at home, register for doorstep banking. Amidst the epidemic, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has recently launched the Alliance Doorstep Banking Service of Public Sector Banks . With this facility of public sector banks, those people who are unable to visit the bank branch will be able to get relief. This doorstep banking service of banks will help the elderly, disabled and visually impaired people above the age of 70 to get banking services at their home.

State Bank of India (SBI) has started doorstep banking service to provide banking facilities to customers at their home. Under this facility, many banking services will be available to you at home. For these facilities you have to register for the doorstep service of the bank.

How to register for doorstep banking?

One can register for doorstep banking service through the bank’s mobile application, website or call center. To take advantage of this service, a form has to be filled. This option will be available only up to a distance of 5 km from the bank branch. Also, SMS facility has to be activated on the registered mobile number for Doorstep Banking service.

To get doorstep banking service, the customer has to call the toll-free number of the bank or login through the bank’s website or mobile app and request it. However, some government banks are still making necessary changes for this feature on their website and mobile apps. From next month i.e. October 2020, this facility will be launched on all platforms of public sector banks.

This facility will be available under pickup service. Pickup service is provided under SBI’s Doorstep Banking Service, under which you do not need to go to the bank to deposit a check, get a new checkbook or submit a life certificate. From 1 November 2020, under the doorstep service, a bank employee will come to your house and take your paper and deposit it in the bank.

If you are a customer of State Bank of India and call the toll-free number to get doorstep banking service, then you will have to specify the last 4 digits of your bank account for verification. After this your call will be forwarded to the center agent. After this, service delivery time will be given after some other verification process. After your request, this information will be given on the registered mobile number.

Ask for your Form 16 under delivery service Similarly, under the delivery service of Doorstep Banking, there is no need to visit the branch to get your term deposit receipt, account statement, draft or Form 16 certificate. You will be able to get all these things sitting at home through doorstep banking service.
